Information: Reynaldo R. Martinez, is an administrator & professor at William Paterson University.

 

Councilman Martinez serves as the Chair of the Ordinance Committee. He is a 14 year resident of Haledon. In 2003, Martinez was appointed by the Governor to the Advisory Council on Corrections. He was reappointed to a second term in 2006. Martinez's involvement in the community have brought him to work with the parents and children of BJ Wilkerson Memorial Child Development Center as the President of the Parent Support Education Association (PSEA). He also serves as the Professional Services Staff Representative to the AFT Local 1796 at William Paterson.

 
Martinez holds a BA in Communication and a M.Ed. from William Paterson University. He has taught Public Speaking and Professional Communication at the University of Medicine and Dentistry.  After his victory in November of 2006, Martinez was invited by Dominican President, the Honorable Dr. Leonel Fernandez to a special dinner at the National Palace in Santo Domingo where he was recognized for his achievement.
 
Martinez is the proud father of two daughters, Victoria, and Catherine. He vows to work diligently to improve the lives of all Haledon residents.
