SERVICE CHARGE This charge partially covers the cost of water service lines, the meter installation and the billing costs among the expenses, and does not change with consumption. For each 2 inch private fire protection line: $24.00 per quarter For each 4 inch private fire protection line: $75.00 per quarter For each 6 inch private fire protection line: $150.00 per quarter For each 8 inch private fire protection line: $238.00 per quarter For each 10 inch private fire protection line: $298.00 per quarter For each 12 inch private fire protection line: $372.00 per quarter
OTHER CHARGES NOT INVOLVING THE USE OF WATER Restoration or cancellation of water service is done during normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays) for $100.00. During other hours, the cost will be a 3-hour minimum at the overtime rate. This rate can change yearly.
Bad check charge – If a customer submits an uncollectible check in payment of a water bill, the customer will be charged a fee of $20.00. If the same customer receives two uncollectible checks the Borough will no longer accept a personal check. Payment must be made in cash, certified check, or money order.
